Mere Sapnon Ki Rani is a 1997 Hindi romantic comedy film directed by K. Raghavendra Rao and starring Sanjay Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar, Madhoo, Anupam Kher, and Shakti Kapoor. The film is a remake of the 1992 Telugu film Gharana Mogudu, which itself was based on the 1986 Kannada film Anuraga Aralithu. The film was a box office flop, but the songs composed by Anand-Milind were popular, especially the title track sung by Kishore Kumar for the 1969 film Aradhana.

The film revolves around Vijay Kumar (Sanjay Kapoor), an unemployed and carefree young man who dreams of marrying his dream girl. He meets Sapna (Urmila Matondkar), a rich and spoiled heiress who is the daughter of a business tycoon Rajeshwar (Anupam Kher). Vijay falls in love with Sapna at first sight, but she rejects him and insults him. Vijay decides to teach her a lesson by pretending to be a wealthy businessman and wooing her. However, he soon realizes that he has fallen in love with her for real and wants to marry her. But Rajeshwar is opposed to their relationship and tries to separate them by various means.
